I know it's against thier policies but ebay have suspended my account again, really annoying, I must be on like my 4th account now. Anyway all the more reason to sort my shop out.
I have 2 modded system that I want to get rid of before I wind down for xmas, so look in the classifieds section for my special offers
anyone else had any probs with ebay like this? They used to be fine, has only been since some guy up the road sold £75,000 of stuff he didn't have
Anyway check it out.

They are banning for some other reason, the auction shows a standard xbox, and it says e-mail me for more info, nothing other than that gives it away, yet they just take the auctions off, and there are loads of ppl selling "xbox with xecuter chip" and they don't get cancelled.
I swear they just hate me or something, anyway I have had enough of the b@stards taking £250 in ebay fees alone per month.
I listed an xbox hard drive yeh, stock settings but said it was unlocked, what happens? they close the auction.

If you even mention the word mod chip in an ebay listing it's gone!
I listed a few unlocked HD's and made mention that they will either work on a PC or you can use them on an Xbox if you have a mod chip and they tossed those and gave me my warning...
I relisted them but just took that verbage out...then they were fine.
I listed a machine with a mod chip once and it got tossed after a day.
You just have to look at their side of it. You and I are small fries...however if MS wanted to sue someone with big bucks, the Ebay would be the perfect target. If there were to allow machines that could infirnge on copyprotected materials, then they are responsible. They have a lot to lose.

I did not even vaguely mention modchips or anythin, I never do, I get them to mail me first.
I completley understand them doing it (banning, ending auction), what I don't understand is banning me when I don't mention anything dodgy and they leave all the bloody auctions with the words xecuter and chip etc.

Wow, that is strange...
They will also get you if you link to an different page too...but that is all I can think of.
I listed a case modded machine about a month ago and they let it slide...I was thinking they would chuck it.
I have seen a lot of HD's loaded with EvoX and stuff...and those don't get tossed.

Mind you my sister got this handbag that she bought for $6000 cos they worth $12,000 and she listed it, they removed it purely because she said "this is not a fake, valuation certificate included from lloyds of london" cos it had the word fake they removed it, stupid buggers

I can't fathom the amount of money that is probably electronically sent to Ebay on a monthly basis. I am a small time seller. I only sell a few things per month and my cost for what I list last month was 21.90...
They have millions of members.... Then, the money they make on PayPal..holy shit! And people thought Wal-Mart was a monopoly! HA.
I took a look at all the money that I lose on PayPal fees....it's sickening! I don't want to raise my prices....when people order from me direct I always request a few dollars to cover paypal costs. I mean, if I am only charging $30.00 labor to do a mod, I certainly can't afford to take a $5.00 hit from paypal fees.
I had to start requiring return shipping money up front too... I have gotten beat four times this month already on return shipping. One guy is in California and he shipped me his xbox for me to do.... he gave me some lame excuse about not being able to pay for the return shipping right away. I shipped him his xbox and he received it a week ago.... He's blowing me off. I can't believe some people. You go out of your way and then end up getting screwed.
Have you ever had anyone tell you that they didnt' get their machine after you had sent it? I typically require FedEx and UPS shipping only due to tracking. When someone sends me their machine I ask them to either request a prepaid return label, or ask the shipping agent for a quote for return shipping and then include that in the box. Well, this one person got cheap on the shipping and used some store that ships for USPS. He included a label for me to put on it, but I guess it didnt have any form of tracking. A week after I shipped it off to him I asked him how he liked it and he told me he hasn't received it yet.
He sounds like a trustworthy guy, but without any proof I don't know what to say. He talked to the shipping agent and they said that these types of shipments can take up to a month....which makes no sense to me because it arrived to me in less than a week. I just don't want anyone to scam me...it makes me cranky...lol.

hey if you guy`s think that is stupid they wont let me sell modded megadrives on there even though they are obsolite and not for sale in the high street! got away with it for a little while and some people were paying up to £60 for them! I think ebay moniters i.p.`s that it has already had probs with. if i use my modem that i have upstairs for xbox live then i get mails from ebay saying someone has been accessing my account from a foreign i.p. EBAY SUCKS!

Yeh I gone right off them, there official policies are sound enough, but in practice they got it all wrong.
I would think banning the blatant ones first would be a better idea.
