I came across a post before, but cannot seem to locate it through search. I am curious to know if installing a SATA hdd makes a difference or not.
SATA drives are faster with data read/transfer on a PC, but does this also hold true on XBOX units as well? I cannot remember. I currently have a SATA hdd and IDE converter installed and running on my XBOX. I am working on a second XBOX and it has an IDE hdd.
I am going to be selling one of them. I just need to know if SATA really makes a difference or not.

The SATA drive will run just as fast as an IDE connection since the SATA speed gets bottle necked down with the SATA to IDE converter. _________________ T3CH SVN BUILD update guide

PS - Remember the issue I was having with loading new XBMC versions on my other XBOX? Seems on my new XBOX it loaded fine. Now I'll just port all my data to my new XBOX and reformat the original. _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

thought as much.. So no real benefit apart from maybe the heat factor eh.. I never have run a SATA drive in any of my xbox 1's..
