Post subject: Preserving/Removing warrenty stickers

I botched a brand new sealed v1.6 the other day while attempting to preserve the newer type of warrenty stickers. Rather than cleanly punch through the holes, I heated up the sticker with a hairdryer and attempted to slowly remove it with a sharp blade. The shiny sticker simply broke it lots of tiny sqaures and left goo everywhere.

I then tried removing the goo with vodka and nail varnish remover but it simply spread the goo about and stained the plastic. In the end I removed the goo with some WD-40 and cleaned the grease up with some PC foam cleaner.

I now have a brand new Xbox with a botched base. Can these stickers be puchased from anywhere or is there a way of removing the newer type of shiny sticker from a broken unit and transferring it to my 'botched' brand new one?

EDIT: This has nothing to do with keeping the unit in warrenty - its all about presentation. If this is not possible is there a cleaner way of punching through the sticker to get at the screws or maybe swap the base over. Is the face plate difficult to remove?
