not really but if you get it to go i would back up the eeprom code to your PC this time so you can just make a boot disk for it.

Ok ok ok. Since Im very bored I took all the screws out. I downloaded xboxhdm and got very confused on how to build the cd. It says:
The xbox HD builder script (xboxhd) needs the xbox C-, and E-drive files.
You can supply the script with these files in two ways :
You can either :
- burn a seperate CDROM with two folders containing the
xbox C-, and E-drive respectively, or
- Put the xbox C- and E-drive files in the C and E folders
in linux directory before making the burnable iso.
Wha? Do I need to extract these from my xbox somehow? Should I even be paying attention to this? Not a good sign when I get confused on the first step...
Also, I read a tutorial that says to
put ms dash in the C folder into the xboxhdmlinux folder and overwrite the ones already there
Where do I get the ms dash from? Should I just slap the screws backk in if Im too thick to understand what the tutorial is saying?
Seens pretty simple besides the finding the ms dash. Is this the right tutorial for what Im trying to do?

Ah. Ok. I found the xboxdash.xbe inside the SID installer zip. According to the tutorial:
put ms dash in the C folder into the xboxhdmlinux folder and overwrite the ones already there.
More confusion. I extracted the xboxhdm zip and there is nothing in c folder to overwrite. I also dont have any xboxhdmlinux folders. I do have a isolinux folder, but there is no xboxdash.xbe to overwrite. Does it sound at this point like I should I just slap the screws back in and call it a night?

I am about to crash for the night but what you need to do is put the all the MS dash files and folders in the xboxhdm folder named C.
E folder can stay empty.
xbox hdm will not have MS dash folders or files to over wright that i am aware of.
Since you dont have the eeprom .bin you can then make you hdm boot disk. we might not get you though this all in one night but we will get the job done.

Wow. Im tired.
OK, so I got this far.
Put xboxdash.xbe into C folder
Eeprom is empty
IsoLinux has the files that it came with, nothing added
E is empty
F is empty
xbox has files it came with (fatx.raw head.raw)
Burned the cd in DVDDecrypter as an ISO.
Then, bravely, I attempted the hotswap. Turned on the Xbox, got the error. Then I got as far as typing "xboxhd" and then realised that I needed another IDE cable to go from PC to XboxHD. WHY ISNT BESTBUY OPEN AT 3:30am DAMNIT!!
So basically I just put xboxdash.xbe that I found somewhere in the AID or SID packages (I forget which one).
Is this the only dash file Ill need? Any other files Ive overlooked? Im planning on getting the xbox back to its original state and then I will do the xbox controller/Action Replay method.
Sheesh. Im just gonna go ahead and pick up a cocaine habit. Its hard to focus at 4am. Einstein had it right!

Are we having fun yet? LOL
Pay attention to the file directories and locations.
Ok here is a list of what you need in the C drive:
Oh dear. Where do I find those? In AID or Slayers perhaps?
EDIT: OK I found (in the system folder of Slayers ISO) a folder that says ALL. Inside I have these folders:
C
Dashes
e
f
NewBioses
Configmagic
dvdregion free
Evx
mPlayer
In the C folder, it has
AUDIO>
AmbientAudio
MemoryAudio
SettingsAudio
MainAudio
MusicAudio
TransitionAudio
FONTS> no subfloders, only xbox book.xtf and xbox.xtf
xboxdashdata.185ead00>no subfolders
xodash>
audio>livenoaudio and voice chat audio
media>content xbg and xbx
Am I on the right track?
EDIT:Ah, looks like I am. So can I just put the entire C folder I found in Slayers ISO in my C folder for my ISO?

Nice work guy, the single boot is so it will always go to your hack dash and duel boot is so the power button boots to hack dash and booting up with the eject button will launch ether SID or the MS dash.
As for rehab your on your own.
If you get stuck just hit up the HQ snd we will see what we can do for you.
Now grab a guide and FTP the eeprom.bin file to your PC, just in case something was to go wrong it will make a repair much easier.
