i have a crossover cable connected to my xbox from a network card on a pc that runs windows98SE. my evox boot disk booted perfectly. when i go into the settings menu in evox, i see "no link". i am getting flashing lights on both the pc and xbox's network cards. i try to ping into my xbox, but it fails all attempts. i'm going crazy. my evox.ini settings are as follows:

SetupNetwork = Yes
StaticIP = Yes
Ip = 192.168.0.3
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway =
DNS1 = 0.0.0.0
DNS2 = 0.0.0.0
SetupDelay = 0
SkipIfNoLink = No

please help. my firewalls are off. i've heard about some kind of microsoft server than can be blocking it. not sure if that's the problem.
