I am enjoying everyminute of XBL and i am using a router to conenct my xbox to the internet. but all my friends keep telling me im lagging like crazy. does this have anything to do with my router, it never lagged like this until i bought the router.

Dunno...you wireless? Could be.
I have a wired router that I have been using, but I am about to change to wireless as I add a new PC in my daughters room and another Xbox in the living room.
I have never lagged with my wired router

mines a wired router. I dont trust the wireless ones.

Not sure what you mean about not trusting, but okay.
What you could always do if the problem persists is while you are gaming on XBL just connect a Cat5 line from your broadband modem to your xbox. Of course this means nobody can surf the net while you are on XBL, but until you rectify the problem the lag issue will be gone.

could it be little nicks in the CAT5 wire running to my router be the problem?
