Yeah, I agree. Plot, story and script should stay the same for the new PS3 version, after all, it was those things that got us hooked in the first place. There has never been a FF title before or since which has the same intensity in the story.

Yeah, but you all know how some developers can get.... I'm just wondering as well..... what would you all think if they added some extra things to it? Mabye new monsters, summons, mabye even some things that branch off the main story? (Sorta like where you can find out about Zack and Clouds escape from the Shinra Mansion) _________________ Ich halte, dass kein Wunsch gesehen zu werden oder gehört zu werden

If anything I think they would just update the graphics. _________________

Although I'd love to see such diversions, I too suspect that if they do anything it'll just be updating the graphics. There's loads of side games etc in it already (Gold Saucer, chocobo racing etc) so I doubt they'll feel the need to add any extra.
Man, I'd love to play it though. I hope SquareEnix really does consider doing this, it would be a winner.

Lol.... reminds me of a robot chicken episode when they made fun of VII. That was great.... "Sephy attacks with -Overtime with no pay!-"
"Cloud uses -Meteor-"
Blows the whole damn place to rubble.... That was great. Yeah and I see your point about the side games, but still.... the gold saucer was huge yet it seemed like when you played the games, it didnt have much variety....... But yeah, I guess they have enough regardless. Hmmm.... I wonder if they'll hide the old VII at the title screen.... you know like you press L1-R1-R2-O to play the original VII during the loading screen or something like that.... It would be nice to have that. Lol, FC, I could picture everyone sleek and sexy looking and BAM!! Cloud still in block graphics.... That would sooo make my day -Tifa- I am soooo NOT dating you at the gold saucer!! -Aeris- Me either, your look is so 1997 -Cloud- B-b-but..... but I can think of one down side to the updated graphics for it (For me at least). The part where sephy kills Aeris.... That made me depressed anough as it is in block graphics!!! _________________ Ich halte, dass kein Wunsch gesehen zu werden oder gehört zu werden

I agree, I chose to date Aeris instead of Tifa. She was always much better in my opinion. When she died I was furious, I could have killed Sephy myself at that point. It was quite distressing to watch one of my best and most loved characters die.
I have the entire FF series (VII - XI) soundtracks and for me, Aeris' theme is till the best and most emotional track.

For all life long fans of FF, I think we'll all be agreed in one thing.

I liked IX too, it was a definite improvement over VIII thats for sure!
IX for me was like a returning to roots. You had a mage, A warrior, a theif etc. I liked the sort of Olde Worlde setting too with big dramattic tunes for characters. It was more of a cutesy style than we'd seen in VII and VIII. Very well presented and an excellent edition to the series.
As for X, yeah, a nice game. First title on PS2 so for obvious reasons it looked beautiful. First time we had voices too. GOne was the ATB, instead replaced with a sort of turn-based combat, making it easier to judge and organise moves. The sphere grid was a unique way of leveling up, although I still prefer the methods of VII and IX.
