I just softmodded my xbox with SID4.5 and installed EvolutionX. I read somewhere that ist best to make a backup of the hard drive, so that incase something happens we have stuff to recover or rollback.

Also I wold like to install a larger disk, could someone point me in the right direction. Are all disk compatiable?

Most disk drives are compatible and they'll all physically fit, but it might be worth to check this link out first, to see if anyone has your HDD (or the one you're planning on getting) and check if it works or not.
