- Download the .xmci.gz you need, decompress it to get the .xmci (Safari will do this automatically) and put it in your home folder.
- Plug AR into your Mac. You will get a message saying you inserted a disk MacOSX can't read. Just click Ignore.
- Open Disk Utility, select the AR in the list of disks, click Info in the toolbar. In the info window it says "Disk Identifier: diskX" where X is some number.
- Open Terminal. Type "cat FILE > /dev/DISK" where you replace FILE with the name of the .xmci (not .xmci.gz!) you put in your home folder, and DISK with the disk identifier. Make sure you use the right disk identifier, this will wipe the contents of whatever disk it identifies!!! There is NO warning when executing the command! You won't see anything happening while it is executing, after a few minutes you just get another command prompt.
- Open Disk Utility again, select the AR. Click Eject in the toolbar. You can now safely unplug the AR from your Mac.
yeah tried it. It does copy the files and the xbox reads the drive as Datel Max or something like that, but it doesnt list any save games but the memory is reduced to something like 2000 blocks any ideas??

Sorry for bringing up such an old post, but it does have a lot of valuable information. I have a couple questions.
1. I'm a mac user who mods, but I've never been able to get Mac OS X to format a gamesave correctly. Is it okay if I take what you have here (files, information), and make my own guide to distribute? I will, of course give you guys full credit.
2. What happened to the files on the last page? Whenever I try downloading them the server tells me they don't exist! Anyone know where I could get a copy?

I've wanted to do some good documentation on this myself, however I lost contact with the guy who originally did this. I still need to get in touch with him too because I'll want him to do the same for SID 5 for me. _________________ The Official AID-SID-PSPID Bit Torrent Tracker Donations Welcome

Sorry all, it's been a while since I last visited this forum. I finished the Mac User's guide some time ago already and was just waiting for a new version of AID that included the memory card images. Unfortunately, since then I have become wrapped up in other projects and lost track of this one.
I've decided to take some time now and at least release the guide as-is. It's a bit outdated already (it still refers to AID 3.03 as the latest version), but other than that it's complete.
If some other mac user has some time to help update the part on downloading the latest version of AID and how to get the memory card images, I'll of course be happy to incorporate new screenshots etc. into the guide and release an update!

I am having some trouble with adding the guide to the "downloads" section, the script for submitting a new file gives me a "this script has been disabled" message
I'll attach it here then, if someone can please move it to a more appropiate location?

Ok, that shouldn't take me too much time. Just let me know when you need me to make the images ...

ISO images o Mac.
Forget using Toast. don't waste your money. If you are running OSX then go find the Disk Utility. Click on "burn". a Popup will ask you to navigate to the file you want to burn. Find your ISO image file, select it and click burn. You are off to the races. Use DVD-R media (I have been using TDK disks) and it seems to work just fine.
It really doesn't get much easier than that. And to top it off, you already have that software in your machine.
