I want to upgrade my dvd drive and am wondering if anyone has suggestions as to which drive would be the best. Also, do I need to mod the drive for the power connection, or can I get a splitter to use fot the hd and dvd drive? Any help would be great. Thanks. _________________ Xbox v1.0

Hi Andrew,
I have never seen the need to really.. Once you upgrade your HDD to a reasonable size you would just run everything from your XBOX HDD rather then burning cd's, dvd-r's all the time..
anyway, I know other members have done this but cant remember who..
Im sure they will reply soon.

Actually my current drive does not like to play certian movies and I like to keep the hd for games. Is your drive ready to hook up or does it need further mods/wires? I need a new drive for my xbox. Sorry I did not specify. I just would like to know where to find one that uses the xbox power cable (yellow) or if I need to buy an adapter to split the power cable running to the hd to use for both.
