That's a beast!! I definitely could use a larger HD in my PC. I refrain from doing a lot of stuff because I usually try to keep my HD 30% free. I have noticed that once my 120GB PC HD gets over 70% full my PC performance really lags.
I would love to be able to store all of my pics and MP3's. We are picture taking freaks and usually take about 200 pics per week!!

Is it lockable? I saw a 1TB external HDD... it was over $1000. On a $/GB basis, that 400GB ain't all that hot. I've seen some 250GB at about 60 cents/GB. The 400GB is over a dollar per GB.
BUT.... it is way cool that more and more larger HDD are becoming available. When I ask for a large HDD at the local computer store , they say "Oh! We've got a 160GB!". Their jaw drops when I ask for something at least 250GB. Reminds me of that scene in Crocodile Dundee, when the mugger pulls a knife and someone says something like "Watch out! He's got a knife!" and Dundee pulls out a machete and says "That's not a knife! THIS IS A KNIFE!". _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

Yea its nice, the only thing is Ive had it in the shop 3 times lol. Any PC Ive ever owned ends up needed to be restored lol. Right now there is only 20gig taken up. Thats because it was just recently reformatted. The HD itself was only $345, because it was a PC bundle. Not too bad, but the PC over all was a lil over $3,500. _________________ SE Halo Xbox v1.4 :

WOW, I have never paid more than 1100.00 for a PC... I keep telling myself that I am going to build a kick ass PC, but I never get the time. I would love to get a PC with dual processors like my bud Scott has. I also want to run my entire house on it!
He has a pretty cool setup with his. His house was just built so it was done during construction. He controls his lights, heating and AC, security cameras, everything right from his PC. He can even do it from work. About a week ago someone hit his mailbox, for the fifth time, so he got an extra wireless camera with motion detection and put it in one of his front windows.
When it gets activated it automatically saves it to his HD and he gets a notification on his PDA/Phone. He can then login to his interface and watch the video... What else is cool is he can leave his AC or heat at an energy efficient temperature, and then about an hour before he leaves from work he just puts it to where he wants it to be for when he or his wife get home. He can even turn on and off his stove and his refridgerator has a build in tablet like PC that keeps track of when his milk is about to expire..HA. It doubles as a LCD TV.
He also keeps a server in his closet and every night it backs up his entire HD while he's sleeping. If only it had long legs and a killer ass....he wouldn't even need to get married..HA. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

hehehe..I'm just so happy it was nothing major.. It must've come loose during shipping or maybe when I put back together or something and then really popped out when you got it since it worked for a little while..
I can't believe the dvd rom power cable was loose..man...
I started thinking, what makes the green light blink... that's when I thought ejecting the tray. Since the tray wouldn't eject, it had to be a connection.
Sure enough...that's what it was.
Also getting your Surreal64 kicking now too! _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
