Post subject: Pc & Xbox Connection

Hi all
I have just installed xecuter 2.6 on my 1.0 Xbox, sorted bios and done a Evox ISO on cd-rw.
My Problem:
Installed a second NIC on pc
using IP 192.168.0.1 on Xbox 192.168.0.3
Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
On PC taskbar its showing Disconnected
On Xbox Evox settings it says no link on Link Status
Not sure if that is suppose to change after making connection using
flashFXP.
I have tried making a connection with FlashFXP using Xbox Ip and usual user and password but no luck.
Had a Connector (WOL Connector i think its called) come with my chip with green/red/grey cables, do I need this installed, have no idea what its function is.
Any advise would be great
Thanks

You don't need to run FlashFXP for the connection to be shown as active. Once all the hardware is set up, it should show up as connected straight away.

Sounds like possibly a fault with one of these things:

* Network Card (maybe it's dead)
* Windows (you might have to uninstall / reinstall the card)
* Network Cable (the cable might be dead)

Also, what are you using as a gateway on your Xbox? I'll guess that you should be using 192.168.0.1 (the NIC IP of your PC), or if you're connected to a router use the router's IP as the gateway.

Hope this can sorta get the ball rolling a bit...
