Right now i have the softmod installed and evox , so i have the evox dash whenever i turn my xbox on. My question is that in the soft mod installer deluxe menu one of the options is Patch MS 5960. To use the ms dash do i need to install this, and if i do i need help because when i try to install it the bar gets to about 90% and then i get a message saying batch failed, Solution-rename file.

Please help all i want is the ms dashboard while my xbox is still softmodded. Thanks

If your not sure you are almost better off formatting back to stock and then installing everything fresh with SID 4.5

You're going to need an online enabled game or AID. I'd go with AID, because if you box is a bit modded, xbox live won't like it. So, if you rbox is modded, you're gold. Pop in AID, and right in the "install dashboards" option, you should see "Install MSDash 5960". What this is going to do, is format your C drive and install a FRESH copy of the stock MSdashboard files. Once that's done, DO NOT REBOOT.

Press B and go to the "Softmod Section". Now, what you'll do is go to Install SID4.5 and follow the onscreen prompts. and you should be modded in no time.

What was your problem? You were using a MSDash sensitive installer. What does this mean? It means you were running an old MSDash kernel, and the installer doesn't like it. What did you just do? You formatted your C drive, and installed the newest MSDash. This allows the installer to communicate easily and be patched properly.

Now wait... Your box isn't modded? How can you run your SID files? Well, if your box isn't modded, than what you need to do is pop in an XBox live game. Go to "Xbox Live" and allow it to update your dashboard. Once that's done, dump the SID files back onto your HArd drive via memory card and launch the xploit. Easy as that.
