I'm looking for a green jewel for the top of my xbox that lights up and instructions for installing it. The cheapest I've found a kit is $60 plus shipping. Does anyone know of a place where I can find one cheaper???
Thanks

Hey Schirmk, did you ever decide what you were going to do with it?

Im just about to start looking into majorly modding my xbox..
This is my wishlist:
1 x Xbox Skin
1 x Custom Jewel
1 x Jewel Led (light sensitive)
- Change my xbox power light to red
- add fibreoptic digital outputs to rear of xbox
- Add Hard Drive Activity Light..
- Add USB port to port 4..
I have already only done this:
- Modded my xbox with a custom evox d6 bios (same as kangamail.com ads up the top)
- Add 80gb Hard Drive (when i got my xbox just after they came out HD's were too dear for me ) i will upgrade soon though..
- Bought a Logitech Wireless Controller (which is the best thing ive bought for my xbox)... Kicks ass and only needs batteries changes once every 2 months if you play every day.. ***** five stars..
If you want to buy a logitech please SUPPORT xbox-hq and click on the system-mods.com banner (advertisement for the logitech) on the r/h side of the homepage and purchase one..
this will help with continued improvements to the website and hosting costs just like donations do.

I really want a skin, a led with jewel, a 120GB HD.
I never heard of the fibreoptic digital outputs.
The logitech Wireless controller would be awesome. I think I'll have to get one.

Myself, I want a skin, a jewel with a blue or red led, change the power light to blue or red, and i have a 120 GB HDD to put in when I get the part back. Not to sure about the other stuff, I have to research it some more.
Connor, I havent decided on whether i want the led's to be red or blue, but i htink I got the jewel picked out..
I would like to go wireless with the WET11 wireless bridge too.

I thought about wireless, then did some reconfiguring in my house and just wired it. I think blue LED's look better, but I'm gonna go green or try to find some purple ones. _________________ "Modding the world, one xbox at a time"

I would rather wire it in, but to get to the router, I would need about 150 ft to 200 ft of wire. I'm thinking that that'll cost about as much as the wireless bridge. We'll see, i gotta look into it more.
I htink I like the looks of the blue lights more too.

The wireless might not reach that far either. Especially 802.11b. _________________ "Modding the world, one xbox at a time"

We have a comp downstiars in the room next to it, so I'm hoping it'll get a strong enough signal. I gotta check out the specs on it before i buy it though

So the downstairs comp is already using wireless?
Then it shouldn't be a problem. _________________ "Modding the world, one xbox at a time"

Yeah but it is closer to directly under the router, the xbox is down one floor and two rooms over from the router. I'm pretty sure it'll reach but I want to check it out just to make sure.
