XBMC Installer Deluxe for Windows v1.10 is Released
Heres an updated version of XBMC Installer Deluxe for Windows. Its been a while since I released this, so I completely rebuilt it. I've only included the skins that were available via download from XBMC, due to the fact that I don't know if all the older skins will work with the newer versions of XBMC. You now also have the choice of installing the DirectX or OpenGL versions on your PC. Also included is the "XBMC Backup/Restore" program which I created. It will allow you to back up and restore your Data files for XBMC, a nice solution for if you need to reinstall XBMC or Windows. Basically all you have to do is select a location for either the backup to be loaded from (or the path to backup the data to) and the program does the rest. Please note you will need .NET Framework 2.0 in order to use the Backup/Restore program. Hope you enjoy this release. Forum Thread: Here

Farewell Xbox Media Center |

Farewell Xbox Media Center
It has been declared that we will no longer see many updates for Xbox Media Center as the development has finally came to a end. But luckly enough, XBMC will not be forgotten forever as Arnova from the XBMC Team has taken on the challenge to continue on with XBMC. Hopefully we will some day find a Xbox Media Center for the Xbox 360!
XBMC Team:
XBMC (XBMP really) started as a program for modified XBOX consoles. In the following years, XBMC has grown into a multi-platform, multi-architecture media center that runs on most standard hardware. The hardware and legal limitations of the XBOX were always a concern and the Team has instead focused on running on the hardware that most people already have.
The last official release for the XBOX by the XBMC team was Atlantis, over 18 months ago. Since then, one brave soul (Arnova) has been merging code from the main codebase into the XBOX branch in our repository. Because there were many users out there that took advantage of these updates, we had no problem with this.

New T3CH Build 2009-09-27 SVN rev23183
With all thats been going on the last few weeks and the lack of a real build release schedule for the XBMC SVN builds i have over looked the new build that landed a few days back, better late then never so here is the low down on the latest build.
I have noticed that this new build has repaired the bug that stoped trainers from working and will soon be testing to see if the Playon software works with the new build but all in all it seems to be much more stable then the last build out so enjoy.
If you want to report bugs, please do it the PROPER way, Click Here
As always keep checking back for the latest news and info in the XBOX world here at XBOX-HQ.COM.

XBMC Puts Develipment On Lock Down For 9.04 |

XBMC Puts Develipment On Lock Down For 9.04
With so many SVN builds flooding the waters and more and more bugs surfacing due to the rate of updating it looks like XBMC has found it time to put a hold on upgrades and put the focus on fine tuning and tweaking for the next stable build known as Babylon.
Reporting On xbmc.org jmarshall posts: Over the weekend, the VDPAU branch was merged into the main trunk, signaling the time for another feature freeze to give devs and users a chance to focus on fixing bugs ready for the next major stable release, 9.04.
As predicted by many, the codename for this next release is Babylon. New in 9.04 is the VDPAU code (hardware decoding of h264 and VC1 on recent nvidia GPUs on Linux) worked on by motd2k, and the path cleanup work (XBMC will no longer steal all those drive letters on Windows), in addition to all the usual improvements that you’ve come accustomed to expecting.
We’ll need help to get things nice and stable for release. This means taking time to test things thoroughly, helping developers reproduce problems, identifying any holes in the current documentation and so on.
Let the bug-bashing begin!
Being a long time user and hardcore fan of anything XBMC i cant wait till this build hits, its sure to be top shelf work and the only thing left is for some groups like Team Black Bolt to get there skin out there so we have some new eye candy for this build.
Really Black Bolt, Ellipsis skin might be built to look like the PS3 but do we really need to wait for it as long as we had to wait for KillZone 2 or Home?

T3CH SVN Build: XBMC 2008-08-19 SVN rev15026 |
|
T3CH SVN Build: XBMC 2008-08-19 SVN rev15026
I know i haven't posted an SVN build in some time and i hope i picked a good time to get back to it since the last few builds have had there share of bugs and glitches, I myself haven't watched a movie ISO in a long time and even resorted back to the arcane task of putting in a disk.
The T3CH XBMC 2008-08-19 SVN rev15026 change log reads as follows:
Date Rev Message
2008-08-19 15026 merged: Linuxport changes through to rev 15020
2008-08-18 15020 fixed: Ticket #4496 (XBMC locks up when trying to "log off" to
switch to a different user)
2008-08-18 15019 merged: Linuxport changes from rev 15005 -> 15016
2008-08-18 15006 fixed: Ticket #4588 - Keymap.xml errors in log file
2008-08-18 15005 merged: Linuxport changes from rev 15000 -> 15004
2008-08-18 15000 merged: Linuxport changes from rev 14910 -> 14998
2008-08-14 14914 fixed: Ticket #4487 - UPPERCASE labels in Mediastream skin.
2008-08-14 14912 merged: merged: Linuxport changes from rev 14888 -> 14910
Seems a bit small since i last seen a change log but i guess that could be a good thing and just show little was needed to get XBMC back to its former glory, i will soon find out by installing it and post back in the forums with my verdict.
