XBOX-HQ.COM - Women in Games Conference at Austin GDC

Women in Games International have said that they will be holding a conference on September 8th in Austin, after the Austin Game Developers Conference.
The conference is entitled “She Got Game”, and will be running from 11AM to 5PM that Saturday. Topics will vary, and include panels entitled “Diversity Equals Dollars: Why having a diverse development team is good for your bottom line” and “Her Virtual Life: Women and Online Games”.

The keynote will be presented by University of Arkansas Professor Dona C. Bailey, the designer and programmer of the classic arcade game Centipede. It will focus on how women in the game development field can create and best utilize creative ideas to broaden the video game audience. Other speakers include industry members from BioWare, Midway, and Ubisoft.
